He's Growing Up So Fast!

Reading

Ayden loves to read books! He especially enjoys Dr. Seuss right now. He also likes to read to an audience like the teacher does at school.

Chatting with Ayden

Ayden is so fascinated with the video camera when it comes out that I have to trick him into talking to me. Marshmellows work!

More Christmas Morning

Making Cookies

Ayden enjoyed helping to make Christmas cookies for our neighbors and friends.

Christmas Morning

This year was Ayden's third Christmas and he still wasn't quite sure what all the presents were about.

Christmas Lights

Ayden enjoyed taking a drive to look at Christmas lights each weekend in December. There was an abundance of lights in our area and we never saw the same lights twice.

Christmas at Mimmi's

After we opened the presents Santa left at our house, we headed to Mimmi's house to open more presents. What a fun day!

Christmas Day

Ayden woke up at 5:30 on Christmas morning to open presents. He was excited to play with each present at he opened it, so it took us several hours to get through the presents. His favorites were his kitchen set (he loves to cook for us!) and his train table.

Christmas at School

Ayden loves his teachers, Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Sarah and Ayden commissioned our wonderful neighbor to make each of his teacher's a hand back with her name on it. Ayden was very excited to give them their presents the week before Christmas.

The kids also decorated their "Happy Holidays" sign with little reindeer made from their very own hand prints and thumb prints.

Christmas Decorations

We had fun putting decorations for Christmas around the house. Ayden was especially helpful and we shared a Christmas dance by the tree once we finished making cookies for the neighbors.

Christmas Carnival

Ayden enjoyed his first trip to a carnival. He rode the carosel three times, the train, and begged us to ride the roller coaster and the ferris wheel. He had so much fun, it was hard to leave!

More Cuteness

Ayden loves to draw and make pictures! Here is him in action and one of his pieces that was made out of sand and glue.

Just Bein Cute

We absolutely adore this little guy. Here are a few cute videos while we were just hanging out having fun.

Ayden Found Barney

As soon as Ayden wakes up in the morning and as soon as he comes home from school, the first words out of his mouth are "Arney on, please!". He watches each episode to the end and loves to sing "I love you, you love me."

Ayden's Halloween Party at School

Ayden began attending daycare full time in late September after Mimmi broke her leg. He was excited that he got to be the first to "sign" her cast with a yellow hand print (which by the way is his favorite color). Although starting school was rough at first, he quickly began making friends and is now the teacher's pet and helper! His first party at school was a Halloween Celebration. After the celebration, the kids were let loose on their floorscape to burn off some of that Halloween Treat Sugar Rush! Ayden's favorite Halloween Treat are "happy cakes", otherwise known as mini cupcakes.

Halloween

This year for Halloween, we went on a pumpkin hunt where we went on a hay ride, a ride on a real fire truck, and searched for mini pumpkins hidden on the farm. Ayden had such a great time.

Trick or Treating

Ayden enjoyed trick or treating this year. It took me a while to convince him to leave his doggy costume on, but once he started collecting goodies, he was no longer aware of the costume. The entire ride home was spent checking out the loot with his flashlight.

First Visit to the Zoo

In October, we took our first visit to the zoo. Ayden was less than thrilled with the caged animals, but enjoyed throwing food into their cages.

Ayden's First Haircut

It's finally time for Ayden's first haircut (at age 26 months)! Our very favorite hairdress, Uncle Barry, was kind enough to make the event a little easier by coming to our house. As long as he was distracted, it was easy :)
